What Happened
A 25-year-old Islip man lost control of a 2024 Tesla sedan on Grand Avenue in Mastic at approximately 9:15 p.m. Saturday, August 23, 2026, and the vehicle left the northbound roadway and struck a home, Suffolk County Police said. No injuries were reported, according to police.
Patch reported that the driver was traveling north on Grand Avenue when he lost control. The car left the road before hitting the residence. Suffolk police confirmed the crash in a statement published the following morning, August 24.
