A male pedestrian was seriously injured after an SUV struck him on Montauk Highway in Shirley on Saturday, August 29, 2026, according to Suffolk County Police, as reported by Daily Voice Mastic-Shirley. The crash drew a Suffolk County Police response and left the pedestrian in serious condition.
The pedestrian, a male whose name was not released, was taken to NYU Langone Hospital–Suffolk in Patchogue for treatment of serious injuries, per Daily Voice. The driver of the SUV was not hurt.
