What Happened
A 43-year-old Orange Park man was killed Friday night, July 24, 2026, after his motorcycle collided with a pickup truck while he attempted to pass in a no-passing zone on Moody Avenue at Whipple Court in Clay County, Florida, according to the Florida Times-Union.
The crash occurred at 9:20 p.m. The motorcyclist struck the left side of the pickup truck during the passing attempt and was pronounced dead at the scene, the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) said in a news release cited by the Florida Times-Union.
A 41-year-old Miami man who was riding as a passenger on the motorcycle sustained critical injuries and was transported to a local hospital, per the same Florida Times-Union report. The 24-year-old driver of the pickup truck, also from Orange Park, was unharmed.
