What Happened
A woman was struck and killed on Route 110 at the Conklin Street intersection in East Farmingdale on Saturday night, according to News 12 Long Island. A Hyundai Sonata hit her as she crossed the roadway heading westbound. The collision was reported around 8:30 p.m.
Emergency responders transported the woman to Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow. She was pronounced dead there. The driver of the Hyundai Sonata was 30 years old and sustained no injuries, News 12 Long Island reported, citing authorities.
Police have not released the victim’s name. Her identity is being withheld pending notification of her family, according to News 12.
