What Happened
Thieves broke into Nissan 112 at 2004 Route 112 in Medford at approximately 1:30 a.m. Thursday, September 3, 2026, using a stolen vehicle to ram through a dealership window and drive out a second vehicle, according to a Suffolk County Police Department press release.
One or more individuals entered the dealership and took a set of keys to a 2023 BMW X5. They then drove the BMW into a 2022 Nissan Versa parked on the lot. The Versa struck the building, breaking a window. The suspects used the gap to remove a 2023 Dodge Charger from inside the showroom.
The sequence left three vehicles damaged: the BMW used as the battering ram, the Nissan Versa that absorbed the impact and hit the building, and the dealership structure itself. The Dodge Charger was gone by the time the incident was reported. Police have not confirmed whether a silent alarm, a witness call, or a delayed discovery brought officers to the scene.
Suffolk County Police are investigating. No suspects have been named and no arrests had been announced as of the department’s press release.
