  1. Pedestrian Killed by SUV at Hempstead Intersection in Nassau County

    A 76-year-old man was struck and killed by a 2015 Nissan Pathfinder at the intersection of Jerusalem Avenue and Henry Street in Hempstead at approximately 11 a.m. on May 15, 2026. The driver, a 47-year-old woman, remained at the scene. The Nassau County Police Homicide Squad is investigating.
