What Happened
Keeghan Lynch, 18, and two 17-year-old males approached a 73-year-old Hauppauge man collecting bottles in the parking lot of Bolla Market at 504 Route 111 in Hauppauge on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at approximately 3:40 p.m., according to the Suffolk County Police Department. The two 17-year-olds then struck the victim with a bottle, punched him, and kicked him. After the assault, all three fled in a white Chevrolet.
The victim’s injuries were not described in the police press release. Suffolk County Police have not yet confirmed whether the man was transported to a hospital or treated at the scene.
Lynch and one of the 17-year-old males were arrested the following day, August 12. The Suffolk County Police Department announced the arrests on Saturday, August 15. The status of the third suspect, the second 17-year-old, was not addressed in the press release.
