Long Island Traffic’s 511NY records show 13 crash records on Hempstead Turnpike in the trailing 90 days, from Aug. 7 to Nov. 5, 2026. Those figures count 511 accident-class records in Nassau and Suffolk titled Crash, Vehicle fire or Overturned vehicle. One collision can produce more than one record, so they are record counts, not verified crash totals.
